Production has fascinated Alana for many years, listening to greats like Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Tom Petty) Daniel Lanois (U2, Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan), Ken Nelson (Coldplay) and wondering at the mystery of how a silent partner in music creation can have such a vibrant voice on their project.
Alana’s first production credit was on the Neil Young Borrowed Tunes II for her rendition of Don’t Be Denied.
Since then her production credits include a project by St, Benedict’s Table with Alana and Zimbabwe’s Ignatius Mabasa,Braden Gates- Break it to Me Gently, Rebbecca Lappa- Myths and Monsters and her own albums Hymns from the Desert and I am a Sparrow.
Alana also executive produced her album Lions and Werewolves that was produced by Ken Nelson (Coldplay).
